Heart of the Bayou Wellness was founded by a registered nurse who is passionate about helping families feel confident navigating healthcare challenges.

After years of working closely with patients and families, it became clear that many people leave medical appointments or hospital stays feeling overwhelmed and unsure about the next steps in caring for themselves or their loved ones.

Heart of the Bayou Wellness was created to bridge that gap by providing compassionate guidance, clear health education, and practical support for families and caregivers in our community.

Professional Background

As a registered nurse, the founder of Heart of the Bayou Wellness brings clinical experience, patient advocacy, and a deep understanding of the healthcare system. My nursing background includes experience in medical-surgical nursing, labor and delivery, nursery and postpartum care, neonatal intensive care (NICU), and home health.

Caring for patients across these areas has allowed me to support individuals and families through a wide range of healthcare needs—from the earliest moments of life to managing health challenges at home. These experiences strengthened my passion for patient education and inspired the creation of Heart of the Bayou Wellness, where the goal is to empower families with the knowledge and support they need to confidently care for their loved ones.
